I have old records here belonging to my great great Gran!

“Banner Records”

They are really heavy and in their sleeves I have about 10-15

Victor talking machine & imperial to name a few!

Are these rare? X

Taking the Banner Label as an example, records from that era are collectable only if you can find the right collector.

Cant find alot about them!!

I take it there are the record labels then thr artists/bands

Some are “foxtrot” etc

They should play on any turntable @ 78rpm.

You used to need a special stylus to play 78s. I remember that from my youth when my parents had a collection.

Don't try to play these old 78s on a normal modern turntable.

You will wreck the stylus.

If you are thinking of selling them I'd make a list / spreadsheet and put a search into Ebay under 'completed listings' and see what they are worth, as with most things, some will be worth less than nothing and some possibly a great deal. If any aren't turning up then put a more general google search in and see if anyone else is selling the same thing, so you can at least thin out your value to knowledge base and then research more extensively any you can't find which by the laws of average are likely to be the rarer ones. x
