Ceramic Straighteners

The ceramic coating on the irons of my Braun Straighteners has started to come off. I just wondered if it was safe to still use them, with my hair being exposed to metal, not ceramic, or if I should chuck them.

how long have you had them? they should have a guarantee against that sort of thing

They're still in guarantee but the shop has closed down! I don't know what is making the coating come off....but they could say it was my fault (Maybe a heat protecting spray or something).

you should be able to send them off to braun and get ur money back...i wouldve thought the heat protection sprays shouldnt have stuff in them that make ceramic come off!

Hi Doggri, i had the same thing happen to me only mine were Nicky Clarke straighteners. I only had them a month and the black coating came off. As I got mine from my catalogue I rang them up and they told me to return them and they sent me another pair. Only had this pair a couple of days so i'll have to wait and see what happens!!
