Even though I enjoy Christmas, quite often I find the silly season to be overwhelming and a bit depressing.

I will feel a tad melancholy when the loved ones depart, as they do.

When the other (I'll be nice to you) people go I will feel a sense of relief.
Then wonder what to do with all the left-over food.

No problems with the left-over drinks, got that covered ;-/

Hi Ozzy got all the shopping done?
Hi lozzy,
this entry by Theland at 0.4.49 has stuck with me as a pretty accurate insight. This is the first year I've actively not given cards out, my small way of lessening the paper waste. I like Christmas, but there's more than a glimmer of truth there in Thelands post.

sounds like you are a bit depressed, welcome to the club my friend, this time of the year makes me a bit sad, but off to see the brother and family tomorrow so should be nice.
I don't buy any extra food at Christmasn so I don't have left overs.

We get given so much stuff at work by charities, Drug Reps and chemo patients that we don't want any goodies when we get home!
that is nice, i have my first two presents this year, and good they are too.
