Even if agent COB gets into no 10, Brexit goes ahead.

“Jeremy Corbyn has defiantly restated Labour’s policy of leading Britain out of the European Union…” Where’s the headline then? Mr Corbyn’s Party supported the granting of a referendum, most of his MP’s voted to trigger A50 and his party secured their seats at the last General Election on a manifesto that committed the Party to take the UK...

"I know it doesn't sit well with your version of democracy, but in most people's books political arguments do not end -- and nor should they."
Then by that token, Jim, nothing would ever get done. Any decisions taken by Parliament could not be implemented so long as there is a modicum of opposition to them. Endless debate and discussion must take place, additional votes cast until a concensus - however unlikely - is secured. Not a good idea, I would suggest.
The decision has been taken to leave the EU. What our politicians need to do - especially since that decision was endorsed by more than 80% of them - is to get on with it rather than trying to reverse or disguise it. The EU placing obstacles in the way to try to secure an advantage over us should not have come as a surprise and is not a good reason to re-think the decision.

It’s not so much your ‘style’ as your substance (or to be precise, lack of it) that’s worthy of criticism.
You seem to inhabit a world where justice is instant, solutions are black and white and everything can be boiled down to an acronym or two. You constantly receive comments which ask you to explain things further but this merely solicits meaningless, illogical insults peppered with more acronyms. You also receive replies which explain why your black and white world doesn’t exist and the only reply you can muster is soundbite / tabloidesque replies.
Your ‘taproom at the Dog & Duck’ opinions may go down well with the people you mix with but they’re not robust enough for serious adult debate so......
You crack on with your ‘style’ my friend, but bear in mind that just about every utterance reinforces my comments above.

That's your view ZM, please explain then why all you liberal elite geniuses find my threads so irresistible? Could it be that I and others introduce come colour to what would otherwise be a dull lefty self congratulatory love in? I've said it many times if you don't like it please ignore me, that's what I do in this situation.
"Brexit" was explained in in the referendum. And with the utmost clarity by Remainers: out of the EU - trade's cuffed, supply chains broken, flights grounded and you'll neer be able to go to Majorca again.
Is that how Remainers described Brexit
Despite all of which But don't But don't 17 million idiots (VE included) perversely voted to leave.
I dare say ZM and SP can enjoy a ritualistic hug excoriating the stoopids.
But don't don't redefine "Leave" in its referendum terms.
There's a generous assumption of honesty of that pair. Probably misplaced.

But ‘leave’ has been redefined and seems to be a moving feast. It also seems to be very subjective depending on which leave voter you talk to. There’s no real need for censure as leave voters often contradict each other.
Tora’s barbecue analogy is a classic example of them realising, after the fact, what was always going to happen with a majority pro-EU government implementing Brexit. To continue in the same vein, only an eejit would complain That there were no pork sausages at a vegan bbq.

//And why vote for Labour, whose leader is clearly out of touch with his party at precisely the moment when he should be at his strongest? //
if Mr Corbyn's position is as far removed from that of his party as is being suggested, why did only 27 of his MPs vote against the act that enacted article 50?
