For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.No. Spiders are far to fastidious to go anywhere near our moist and smelly mouths while we are sleeping - they would run around the outside and go about their business. Similarly, spiders do not crawl up plugholes - they would avoid a smelly and wet drain for the same reasons, apart from being unable to negotiate the S bend trap which is full of water. They wander into a bath or basin on their travels, and are unable to neogitate the slippery sides, and stay there until liberated or washed away, hence the myth that they travel through drains.
