A couple of times on Judge Judy (I know, I know) there’s been reference to multiple wheelie bins and in one case twice-a-week collections.

I doubt if the US is a great recycler, so is all this just evidence of their massive overconsumption?

// I thought Bins was cockney rhyming slang for glasses, dunno though because I haven't seen TTT use it yet.//

no I dont want to encourage him
PP, you'll be saying next that US police chiefs don't use wheelchairs. I know better, I've watched Ironside.
In my experience of having travelled regularly all over the US for the last 25 years, they are way behind us as far as recycling is concerned. Apart from one or two stores (Bloomingdales and Whole Foods) the supermarkets are still double bagging goods at the checkout. I have started to see double sided waste bins in hotel rooms (one side for waste and the other side for recycleables) but that is not the norm everywhere.
peter - you are clearly not an aficionado of JJ - the baliff's name is Byrd!
u mean trash cans
hi BB i asked my sister and she said in her experience it largely depends n what community and or state you live in. She lives in florida and her bins are emptied twice a week. They give her a split bin for recycling and trash and therefore her community do a fair amount of recycling
looks like you've pigeon holed the Amercians BB. Wrongly by a mile.
