Anyone else get a 'flat' feeling on new years day?
Should be looking forward to a brand new year full of opportunities. Instead, feel like a wet fish.

Lol. Jealous, Melv?
What a load of misery guts. I walked my dog in the park today, Sun was shining, children playing with their Christmas bikes/scooters etc and dogs running around with coats and scarves on and everyone saying hello, nice day, good morning or just nodding and smiling. Lovely day.

Do you still live in Stepford, LB?
I've had years when the New Year slump came upon me, but there's usually been a reason - bereavement, illness or worry on the horizon.

Mostly, I am one of those annoying optimists and thankfully that goes for this year so far.

All who are feeling flat or low, hope things improve.
I’m upbeat on top of things - ‘just’ another £50 payment for boy #2 to go to France (£850 in total) plus 2 x £350 for the things to go to London and I’m good. (I have a v complicated pot system going on.)
Just another day for me. I've lost track of days. OH is back at work tomorrow so normality should return.

He's obviously been bored as he's been doing housework. He rarely does housework!

Not a fan of New Year, just try to get through it the best I can, especially since my beloved parents died. Glad it's all over to be honest.
