Swimming in Edinburgh

I need to find a pool within walking distance of upper Royal Mile (Lawnmarket). Public or part of a health club. Anyone know of one?

Keeping my head above water at the moment thanks! Moving to an apartment near Meadowbank next week so Olympic Pool may be walking distance.

You be going to the pool from Meadowbank or lawnmarket slimjim? If from the latter, the Comonwelath is about a mile. If from the former it's around 2.5 miles, and you might be slightly nearer to the Portobello swim centre.
