I think the band is called 'The Only Ones' and the song is called 'Another Girl, Another Planet'. One of John Peel's discoveries they were a huge influence on 'The Smiths'.

The song is about heroin, something of which Vodophone are apparently unaware!

That's right Andy..."You get under my skin, I don't find it irritating". Peter Perret was well known to be a junkie, "The Beast" from their first album is another heroin themed song. I think the guy was an amazing talent, just lost the plot, like so many others before and since.
