Not sure if I should be posting this here so feel free to move it to the right department!
I have been dyeing my hair blonde for a couple of years but now I'm fed up doing it. I would like to return to my natural colour and was wondering if I can do this myself. I have asked my local hairdresser and the amount she wants to charge is ridiculous! All suggestions welcome. TIA

I would go a colour or two darker -ie dark natural blonde if you have light blond, or the colour nearest to your root colour ( as long as its not grey). Your hair will be more porous due to you bleaching it so you will have to be careful how long you leave the product on. How much are you being quoted at a salon?

Chances are your box dyes haven't been the same one (brand/colour) for those 2 years so you'll have endless different shades on there. The only way to revert back to your natural colour, and for it to look right, and more importantly stay healthy, is to let the professionals do it.

Let it grow out....if you are an oldie like me...what does it matter? Go with the flow....then decide what you want. The older we get we have the hand that was dealt us.... We don't have the strength to stay ahead of the game... Relax...chill out and enjoy your latter years...no one knows how long they've got....live each day to the full x
