My 30th is coming up soon and I need good ideas for a theme for my party - any ideas?

A good idea would be to invite me (32 y.o) along with loads of single attractive women.

Alternatively I would have a Beach Boys party. Play Beach Boys all night, wear Hawaain shirts and drink exotic cocktails. What could be nicer?? Then of course if you like modern jungle-rap-dance-techno ***** my idea will be naff!!!!!!!!

Last party I went to had an eighties theme and it was brilliant. Wore eighties clothes, drank pina coladas, ate those flying saucer sweets and listened to Tiffany, Bros, Duran Duran etc. Would highly recommend!

the things that I enjoyed most happened when I was alot younger, and yes, I will also be thirty soon. Why not put your head together with all of your freinds and find out what you most enjoyed doing when you were wee lasses and lads and have a party based around these things.

Dig out your old huge bermuda shorts (they probably fit well now) and have a beach party somewhere with loads of 80s dodgy music! Personally, I'm getting a load of the lads together and going carting for the afternoon for my 30th. Probably followed by a few beers.

I had my 30th recently and had a Christmas Party.  I put up a tree, played Xmas song and decorated the house. It was brilliant.  People turned up in Santa hats and silly earings.  Just like Xmas!!!

seeing as i assume you were born in 1975 why not take what was popular the year you were born as the theme?

what i mean was 1975 was the year "Starsky & Hutch" first aired so why not have a starsky and hutch themed party?

you know, all the clothes, all the "bling", all the music!....... would be funny as hell and a really cool challenge for your friends to see who could come up with the most original "costumes"!

starsky and hutch is MY example......... i am sure with a little homework you could find other popular themes based on the year you were born!

There were 20 number ones in 1975. Invite people to come as one of the songs ??? They can then guess who is what or even what is who??

For bigger party extend to number two songs etc.

Of course if everyone goes for "Barbados" - you can go back to beach party idea!

Love the idea of the 1975 Starsky and Hutch (or similar) Party!! All the Beach party ideas are great except my birthday is in November (yes I know I said it was coming up soon but hey a girls got to plan in advance)

First of all, let me wish you congrats in advance. Coming to the point, Halloween theme would be quite adventurous as I have been a part of that theme also in the past. If the number of members is fifty or less than that, celebration done in a running party bus would be emphasized to all the members present over there.
