My partner has proposed after 4 years which is fantastic but now the problem of organising! We would love a small but unique civil wedding in the UK, has anyone got any suggestions? Would really appreciate some ideas, many thanks.

I celebrated a renewal of vows last year at a church near Heathrow. There was a reception afterwards at Cliveden. I can honestly say it was one of the loveliest settings for such a function. Ive stayed at the hotel several times, but never held any personally arranged functions. So I cant tell you about costs. But for a small intimate group, this may be an option to consider.

Others have seen me write about the Orient Express Pullmans before. There are some lovely opportunities to take the train to a day destination, celebrate your marriage there, then return as a couple.

And whilst Ive never participated in one, I know of people whove celebrated their weddings on one of the Thames River Boats.

Hi
Just wanted to mention that the link to the Orient-Express British Pullman train has been changed. The link to the new site is :

Thanks!
