Passport Query. Am I Right Or Wrong About The Dates.
5 Answers
Was renewing my Irish Passport on line.
The application was rejected as my passport was more than 5 years Past the expiry date.
It expired on 4 July 2014. I say the 5 years are up on 4 July 2019.
My wife also argues I am wrong and they are right.
Am I losing it?

I was on a train when a conductor refused to accept another passenger's Young Person's Railcard. When he asked why, the conductor replied "Your card has an expiry date of the 16th of March. It's the 19th today". The customer then replied "Yes, I agree it's the 19th today but we're still in February!", leaving the conductor both red-faced and apologetic. Something as simple as that could have happened at the Passport Office.
