Tax-Free Childcare Account
10 Answers
Hi has anyone succesfully got one of these? I am re starting work with a different employer after having a baby and childcare vouchers are no longer available to me as i would be a new entrant to the scheme.
i am trying to wade through the mire of the taxfree childcare website an fining it very tricky. In addition they are saying they dont recognise my baby as we have never applied for child benefit for her.
So my questions are
1) anyone actually got and using one of these accounts?
2) how long did it take before it was approved?

- a Government Gateway account - if you don't already have one, you can set one up by using this service
- your National Insurance number
- access to a mobile phone or landline
- details of one or more of the following - your UK Passport, tax credits, P60 or a recent payslip
It looks quite straight forward, i was unsure if you were on this website - https:/ /www.ch ildcare choices .gov.uk / - which looks a bit more complicate to navigate.
