Nothing like perpetuating a hoary old heterosexual (wrong!) stereotype is there?

It makes straight people who are deeply afraid of same-sex couples sleep easier if they can equate relationships to their own perceptions - this means there has to be a 'man' partner and a 'woman' partner in the set-up.

Talk to a few lesbian couples and you will find that relationships are far more nuanced and subtle than that which you reduce to comfortable stereotyping.

Stick around, I am sure jack and others can educate you - judging by the way you label complete strangers based only on your own narrow misconceptions, you certainly need it!

Some of the comments on AB regarding gay couples really belong mid last century.

I am partial to a nice pink shirt myself, but of course, I am secure in my own sexuality - I'm not gay.

(But my boyfriend is!!!!)
