If you were having a couple round for the above, what sort of nibbles type things would you have available for them? It’s not a special occasion, just a bit of a catch up.
I don’t want to do an afternoon tea, they’ll have had lunch, and I don’t want to be making sandwiches.

Thanks for the ideas georgiesmum, I love cheeselets and twiglets.
There’s no particular theme diddly, just anything that appeals and is easy. If suggestions happen to be a bit retro it really doesn’t matter, it’s nice of people to take the trouble to make suggestions.

Hope it's the one with chives.
Ooo tony has to be the one with ham
Back in the day we did the cheese in celery boats and decorate with a quarter of walnut :)

I like the mini blinis (readily available in supermarkets) with a little smoked salmon and lumpfish caviar.
Haven't tried that one, rr.
French stick, sliced into small rings, rub each one with garlic oil, pop on a slice of Gorgonzola and then a slice of pepperoni, bake in oven to melt cheese/semi toast, delish. I've also added a slice of cherry tomato on top of some before baking to give a bit of variety.
