Found this one difficult and have a problem with the final letter to 13a and the third letter of 11d, I have Fata Morgana for the former and Amedeo Mod. etc for the latter and can't find any evidence for alternative spellings, any guidance gratefully received

I suspect setter's error on this - 'amEdeo...' & '...morganA' are both right.

Has to be an error, held me up for a few minutes convinced I was wrong.

It's a common mis-spelling of Amedeo - setter's error I think.

If you want to submit your grid, I'd draw a diagonal line in the light - top-left to bottom-right - & put 'A' in the left section, 'E' in the right. Assuming they don't void the whole puzzle, that would show you have both correct answers.

Thanks, you'd think that if the setter can compile such complex questions they should be able to get the spellings right !
