I thought the question was about countries with golf courses in the list of the world's best. Once you knock out the large number in US, UK, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, China and Japan, there are possibly only a handful to spread around the rest of the world.

there are about 1800 in Australia (quick Google). Almost half of the world's courses are in the USA.

I would imagine that all the golf courses in the world are rated, with a list of "the best". There were only three countries in the world with "the best" rated golf courses to score 0. Don't see what the problem is.

It was the last question in the final found so I suppose you’d expect it to have few valid answers. The contestants chose Qatar, which was a good shout. There may be over 200 countries in the world but not all that many are necessarily going to be on the list, and when you eliminate the correct ones people guessed ...
