Jerusalem is a unique and fascinating place - like nowhere else on earth.
Additionally, if you have a day to spare you might like to try a dip in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, and with water so salty it’s impossible to swim and impossible to sink. (Take shoes if you go – the sea bed and surrounding land consists of compacted salt – very sharp on bare feet). You can also visit Masada, the mountaintop fortress on the banks of the Dead Sea, where under siege by the Romans almost 1000 Jews. committed suicide rather than capitulate. Both the Dead Sea and Masada can be done in one day but rather than drive, your hotel can arrange a day trip by coach for you.
I did a private walking tour with a guide around the Old City it was really very interesting. The Yad Vashem Museum is a must visit place, the memories are with me still 20 years after my visit! Jerusalem is without doubt a fascinating place to visit whether you have religion or not! Have a great time.
