Just happened again - third time in a week. House phone rings with an Uxbridge number coming up. Guy on end says he’s from Amazon Customer Services and they’re trying to deliver a parcel to..... and then gives me a guys name I’ve never heard of. He then says ok and goes to hang up when I say what address have you got?? Gives me an address that I don’t know either.
So,worrying that my account has been hacked I check my details and I’ve never ever even put my phone number on there. So I ring Amazon direct and get thru to a lovely guy who checks his end too and confirms they don’t have my number, just my email. He says they have no connections to Uxbridge either, and that it sounds fraudulent.
The number is 01895 519271. I’ve tried calling it back but permanently engaged.
Anybody ever have anything like this??

Strange, posts on this site suggest it is linked to Amazon.

How odd! I’ve never given Amazon my number, and he had completely wrong name and address - every time.

If it was me, the next time they phone I would tell them to take my number off their phone/database as it's the incorrect number for the customer they are trying to contact.

Admittedly I rarely use them, but yes I guess it could be a wrong number.
Is it always the same name and address? If so they may just have the wrong number if not its a scam.
