Platinum is a very long word and so, many ABers such as yourself get tired before the end of the word and whine endlessly. This occurred. I used splock instead to spare tender Abers. Splock is shorter than Platinum as a word

The metric kilgramme has got heavier as a result of taking in oxygen and nitrogen which are present in air. The frogs gave up and tried something else. the end. ( stop reading )

So did I, and I still find it easier to work in imperial units than to translate some of your posts. Incidentally, after 40 years working in science I've never seen Pt referred to as splock.

BUG, the circumference of the earth going through the poles is about 40,008 km. That means the original definition of a kilometre is in error by only 0.02%.
