You have to understand that Merkel was brought up as a communist and remains one at heart, she has no understanding of sovereignty, in fact she hates any form of national identity and many Germans wonder if in fact she hates Germany itself! her record would agree with this.

She still hasn't finished yet, having recently signed up to the UN Global Compact for Migration, the aspirations of which would allow an even greater flow of migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, and everywhere else in the world, into Europe.

It's not really apathy, david. For example, who does one vote for in the UK if you want to see more rigid controls on uncontrolled and illegal immigration? None of the parties likely to form a government has any proper policies to tackle the problem because they don't recognise a problem at all.

I believe it chimes with the old Leninist/Marxist cr*ppy ideas of world unity, which has now got conflated with capitalistic 'globalisation'. George Soros, though he has had the good fortune to become a billionaire, still is stuck with the early communist dogma with which he grew up and was indoctrinated with tinged with a spot of guilt.
