Mrs May could collect him when she makes a fruitless visit next week..
Probably best if she takes SOME fruit if she's visiting a monkey.
I signed. Poor thing.
If he's been offered sanctuary in Wales I really can't see why the zoo needs to refuse it. Maybe they don't want to have to pay the travelling costs.
Lol brexiteers won’t help they don’t want anymore immigrants!
Signed
He's English
I bet Alison Cronin at Monkey World would take him, poor bonobo.
Saw some pictures of his injuries earlier, so sad.

Signed.
The bonobo chimpanzees are our closest relations, aren't they?
Signed, poor little chap.
Poor lad. I've signed too.
I've copied your link Canary and sent it to Alison Cronin at Monkey World to see if she can add some weight to those calling for him to be brought here. I don't think she has bonobos at MW but she is certainly a lady to be reckoned with and listened to. She has persuaded many governments to allow her to take mistreated primates into her care so fingers crossed.
Had a reply today from Monkey World. Not what I had hoped but I tried:-(

//Good morning

Thank you for your email with regards to Bili the Bonobo. Monkey World will always try and help a primate in need however here at the park we do not have any bonobos or facilities for them. We also believe that they should be with their own kind.

There is a European Breeding Programme (EEP) and also an International Breeding Programme that should be specifying where he lives or goes to.

Monkey World would need to be approached by Wuppertal Zoo and the EEP for us to consider building new facilities that can house bonobos.

Once again thank you for taking the time in contacting us here at Monkey World and for your concern.

Kind Regards \\
