What rip off , The Daily Telegraph price increase
I now only buy on Mondays and Saturdays and
I may not do that much longer.

The Telegraph used to be very good, but sadly it is now a rubbish paper. It thinks it must compete with the Mail and journalist standards have dropped. Last year it had the most complaints upheld by the Press watchdog than any other newspaper.
Its circulation has plummeted as a result, dropping 10% last year. Profits have halved due to the fall in advertising revenue from the smaller circulation, so the owners have had to increase the cover price.

me too, i only buy it for the crosswords, throwing more than half of it away!

Ael , if you only buy it for the crosswords then you would save a lot of money by joining the Telegraph Puzzles ( present cost is £35.33 pa)

thought these crosswords are expensive but I
still love the Saturday and Mondays follow up.

The subscription service reduces the price - £11 a week inc the Saturday and Sunday papers.

I used to buy the Telegraph and like a lot of people bought it mainly for the crossword. I gave up buying the paper and every so often pop into W.H.Smith and buy a book of Telegraph Cryptic Crosswords, generally the Giant series.About £6.99 for 240 crosswords !! Hope this helps.
