not sure - my nephew (15) was circumcised just after birth a a matter of routine
Bad enough when boys are circumcised under proper surgical conditions. These girls are hacked with a filthy knife - and with no anaesthetic.
About time.

The courts will want to set an example now they've finally been able to convict. I'm estimating 10 years.

I can see a sentence getting anywhere near that, but at least she has been remanded.
She needs the full 14 years locked up!!! EVIL woman!!
Excellent news - and I hope she gets maximum jail time.

What a monster.
We can call her names, and quite rightly condemn her, but the real problem is she is not alone. This isn't an unusual practice. And this is happening in THIS country.
surely all that will happen is that little girls will be shunted out of the country to have this done. Vile practice and i hope the mother gets a long prison sentence.
God! I can't bear to open the link. Vile practice. Circumcision of boys is bad but it doesn't compare to what small girls go through. I'm glad someone is going to jail for it.
well a kid turns up mutilated
who do you indict ?

in this case - the child was bleeding and went to hospital with a pre-rehearsed story, and was taken into care.
I was intrigued by the ju-ju in the freezer which would silence the main prosecution players ( didnt work this time)

also volunteered the person who cut here was on old witch
