How do I find out what happened?

A ex-work colleague of mine who is also a good friend of mine told me he was reading the local newspaper the other day and read that someone we worked with had died at the weekend, the cause of death is unknown and pending toxicology reports. I know she dabbled with drugs so could well be either an OD or she commited suicide as she was a fairly troubled girl.

Even though I havent seen or spoken to her for 3 years we were fairly close.

How I do follow the story and find out how she died etc? These kind of stories tend not to always appear in the paper and I dont know any of her friends and family.

all i can think of is to contact the paper as they might know when/if an inquest is being held, you would be able to get more details then
