Sinuses?

I have booked a doctors appt (can't get in til noon Monday), but in the meantime anyone have any ideas of over the counter stuff that works?

I have pain under my jaw (possibly saliva glands) and in my ears, and round my wisdom tooth too, though not a wisdom tooth pain if that makes sense.

Sounds like an inefection which my sister has just been diagnosed with. She ahd the same pain as you and went to the dentist and has an infection in her gum (where her wisdom tooth is coming through), spread to her jaw and her tongue (?? didn't know you could get infectio in your gum!!) Anyway, until you can get to the doctors / dentist try Paracetamol & Codeine along with Ibuprofen (as long as u r not sensitive to ibuprofen, asthmatic, history of stomach ulcers etc) The combination of painkillers should HOPEFULLY get you through the worst until you can see someone. I'll be thinking of you as I know how much pain my sisters been in - horrible x x

i had a gum infection where my wisdom tooth was coming through also, i found using corsodyl gel around the affected area worked well as it numbs.

If you think you could have a blocked saliva gland buy some sherbet lemons this is what my nephew was told by his docotor. It makes the saliva gland work overtime and can clear the problem although when it does unblock it can give a nasty taste in the mouth

You poor thing, if the pain persists try Paramol, OTC pain relief. I get a lot of ear infections, similar area and type of pain, and that's the only thing that touches the pain til I can get to the docs. I hope you feel better soon
