spyware/anti virus

anyone know of any up to date FREE virus/spyware packages?

i keep getting a 'NSIS' pop up which is really annoying me!! grrrrr

Avast is very good, and it keeps running permanently.

You can do a scan for free on Symantec.com - and they provide tools to remove viruses
try lavasoft for spyware scanners (free version of adaware)

I use AVG free

and have never had any problems with it.

AVG is the best and as for popups install google toolbar, it has a popup blocker that works and lots of other useful tools.
