I watched this tonight. I thought it was very funny.

"We've found out who your mum was. She was a single mother who worked in clubs and bars. She had 9 other kids and looked after them but abandoned you at birth. She died 6 years ago. What do you think about that?"

It wouldn't be aired unless both parties agreed.

is that the case, ummmm? No problem if it is. But it strikes me that people may have to sign an agreement before the show is actually made, in which case they might regret it later.

As I say, I didn't see it and don't know what protocols they follow.

Jamies bio mum & dad were found. The Dad had NO idea that he existed never mind that the Mum had abandoned him. No info was given on air.

I don't think that's true. Say, for example, you were dithering, perhaps reluctant to intrude upon someone’s life after years apart – not knowing if you would be welcome or not - or even unsure you really wanted to do it. If I were in that position, I might be tempted to look to see if anyone was searching for me before abandoning my anonymity and exposing myself to THEIR intrusion. I’ve known lives destroyed by people from the past popping up uninvited. Cans of worms and all that ....
