Fingers Crossed
17 Answers
Tomorrow’s the day they give out the secondary school places - fingers crossed I get the place I want for the things (it used to be a sure bet that I’d get them into the secondary I want but demand has changed now that they’ve taken away the free transport). Must be awful for people living in places with ‘good’ schools and ‘bad’ schools - both the ones I’ve put down are good (in terms of results) but vastly different in size, location, etc.

They’re both quite small, thing 1 is tiny - they’d be lost in the bigger school (even though they’d get free transport).
Thanks all - we’re lucky, they’re both ‘good’ schools. I just like the first choice, my other kids have/are doing well and it’s small (we live in the Middle Ages so it would suit the things better). I also really like the idea that the teachers get to take their dogs in (‘emotional support dogs’) - not academically relevant but I like it (they’re also getting some pygmy goats).
