Filter Has Come Detached From Aquarium Glass

I need to stick the filter unit back onto the glass of my aquarium., it keeps floating up..can I half empty the water, glue ( aquarium sealant ) filter in place then fill the tank again or do I have to empty the tank, take everything out & let sealant dry?

If you're using proper sealant you should be able to glue the sucker to the glass without taking any water out. II should be waterproof. Make sure that the glass is properly cleaned before gluing.

there are glues that will cure underwater, im not going to recommend any that I use for domestic use (toilet systems) as not sure whether they may harm your fish. I would ask at wherever you buy your fish from.
