Warning light exhaust gas on renualt senic

I have a 2002 Renault senic purchase 4 months ago I have had the odd occastion when it would not start but yesterday the warning light came on for monitoring gas exhaust is this something serious or something i can fix easy myself if so how do i go about it

Hi, not something I'd advise you trying to fix yourself - take it to a garage (local or main dealer it doesn't matter as long as they have the right machine) and explain the prob to them - there is a light going on and that it needs to be 'read', they'll (or they should) hook it upto a machine that can diagnose the problem within the vehicle.
