hello there. not sure if this works but thought i will give it a go... this is my first question on here I recently moved to the south east of england from ireland.
Just wondering who everyone is on here and how it all works, been reading a few messages on here and sounds fun - i think i did see a message the other day about introductions but I lost the link (not very good with computers! but im learning!) so thought what the hell I'll ask myself, good practice! he he
anyway I'm harping on now - watch out! he he he so hello to everyone out there!

As the 'elder statesman' of the site, it falls to me to advise you that you can chip in any and all the time with your questions and opinions, and fight your corner if you disagree.
Occasionally, individuals take serious issue with each other and get personal - rise above such nonsense, it doesn't last long. The regulars are great people, helpful, wise, supportive, and a great source of fun, information, triva, and comfort, what ever you need.
Stick around, the water's lovevly!

Uncle Andy is the Gandalf of the site, wise, sensitive and kind beyond his years.
I myself, can be relied upon to provide accurate, intelligent (and usually articulate) information on certain specific areas of expertise. Rest assured (like many others on AB) I am NEVER wrong, so you may have complete faith in my answers.
Welcome and enjoy!

Hi SharonBT. I'm fairly new here and I live in the south east of england too. I found this site by pure serendipity and I love it. The majority of people here are uk based (answerbank.co.uk gives it away a bit lol) but there are people from all over the place. Most of them are helpful and polite with the odd wag thrown in for good measure. I love the fact that you can chip in with your own opinion at any time and it's so interesting to see how many different answers there are to some of the questions posed. Most people respect the fact that others have different views - although some can get narked if you disagree about something they consider themselves an expert on. If that happens my advice is - Take it in your stride, express yourself, join in and have FUN!!
Ahh you all sound a lovely bunch of people. Been looking at some of the posts, looks like you all get on really well.
So how did you all get your nicknames
I couldn't think of anything quick enough so went for my real name! he he he

hi there sharonBT and welcome, you sound like a friendly face to have around. I started off on here a few years back with tons of questions, now I seem to have just answers but I hope they help.
I do find I keep paper and pen handy as queries keep still cropping up when I am out and about. I don't use the site for long during the day but I am a teaching assistant so have a little bit of time off!
My dad's fave flower is a sunflower and 68 is my birth year btw. x
