if you are on benefits can you get money for travel if you are offered a job .the reason i'm asking is my son has been constantly texting me for money ,I don't trust him as far as I could throw him x

hi mally i dont think you can. How often will he get paid? If it's weekly then you could get him the bus pass for the first week, then he could get subsequent travel from his wages

thankyou for your answers ,I can't believe a word that comes out of his mouth ,he says he is "clean" but the state of him says otherwise .when I refused him money last week he sent me a vile text and at the bottom said goodbye .mr mally said he is pulling at my heartstrings ,it is so difficult.now he says he has a chance at a job and as usual all his benefits have been used even though he got them yesterday .

It's so easy to pull at heart strings. My kids do it without even knowing it.

I'd do what has already been suggested and get him a travel card.
