A perfectly fine introductory Listener if a little too close to the Spectator genre.

There were some nicely concealed misprints as well as some very obvious ones but on the whole I wasn't quite as keen as some on the clues. I'm very surprised to see a clue such as 11 in the Listener, which fails for me because it doesn't say what it means. Misleading punctuation is one thing, but punctuation that makes it impossible to read the cryptic element as intended breaches a fundamental principle enunciated by Ximenes. I also didn't like the clue at 33, which leads to more than one valid answer, a little unfair since it's a short entry with 50% unchecked.
I've had family staying for a week so was relieved that this puzzle was of the easy-but-fun variety. I never knew that there were so many words connected with the theme!
I thought that the misprints were beautifully disguised and had a few chuckles along the way. Scorpius is of course quite right about 11, but I'd solved the clue before I noticed the issue so it didn't bother me much.
Thanks Nutmeg.
