Decided to give four of my cushion covers a freshen up. However, when I looked at the label it said "have professionally dry cleaned only". Next sentence said "iron on the wrong side." Well, if I was to have them dry cleaned I certainly wouldn't expect to have to iron them. Anyway, popped them in the washing machine on a gentle cycle and they came out looking great.

I routinely ignore 'Dry Clean only' and I've never had a serious mishap with anything either. Good call Maggie :)
I ignore labels as well. Most machines are sophisticated enough nowadays. I'm just careful with wool.
all of my cushion covers say dry clean....all of mine get gentle washed and cool tumble dried. It has the advantage that it shrinks them very slightly and plumps up the cushions again.
Aren't we all little rebels? ;-)
lol calicoirl, like you I have dogs....things in this house get washed (often) or binned.
