Just Baring My Soul.

No asking for advice, but just a bit depressed.
Had to undergo several blood tests in the last two weeks, now been sent for even more. Also stool tests, am feeling really down.
Used to be healthy until 2010 then things just went from bad to worse.
Am 68 and just hope I can make provision for Mrs T, just in case.
Don't want sympathy, it comes to us all, just letting off steam. Forgive me.

Up one day, down the next, further down the next.
But hey, I do realise how blessed I am, compared to so many others.
The trouble is, there is often no rhyme or reason for me being down, it just happens, and is horrible.
A bit of worrying news, health, family, anything really, just presses down. Hard to explain.
On the other hand, once in a blue moon, my mood is ecstatic, I love everybody, and I love the world, jittery with happiness, peace all around.
And then it ends. Back to the Big Dipper, up and down, and down, and down.
But I never lose sight of how blessed I am.

Morning Theland,
Apart from the medical problems you already have, moving home can be very stressful, the upheaval can make you anxious. It sounds like once it’s over though, this will be a positive move for you and yours as a home to live in. I hope you’re soon feeling more upbeat, I’m sure the new surroundings ( once you’re in and settled) will be an aid in your recovery x

Theland, remember to remind yourself, “This Too Will Pass” it’s all temporary. You are obviously suffering from depression, wether your GP can help alleviate your ordeal you will have to determine. Your love for, and therefore your dependence upon a deity is a mixed blessing for a soul suffering such as yourself.
Personally I know that there is a power greater than myself, that is. You can only open yourself to the love of an intangible “Something” and trust. Medically your mental instability could have many causes, and possibly some pharmaceutical or psychological assistance. Spiritually, you should let yourself relax a little more and trust in an intangible, inexplicable, unknowable universal power that ultimately we will all encounter, a tremendous love, that something, we often call GOD.

Dave felt useless in his last few months, he and now you need reminding that your value is not in what you can do, but in who you are. If you love someone you pick up the tools and work for them until either they recover or no longer need that help. It's not a burden but payment for the rare smile that still can brighten your day, the shared anxieties that bring you closer than any shared task ever could.
Changing all the utilities and notifying new addresses is a boring job. I bet everyone is glad you are doing that one. See you are of use...
