Janice Battersby

Does anyone know why Janice Battersby came back into Corrie after leaving? I absolutely loathe her, she's got a hideous ape-like face, aggressive expression, and a gob the size of the Mersey tunnel. I feel like stopping watching Corrie until she goes. She doesn't even have a plausible role. Maybe she was sacked and won a tribunal?

Never have liked her, never felt sorry for her (like before she left - when she was upset), and like you wondered why she ever came back. Although she has lost weight, has her hair half decent and wears nicer clothes, I cannot abide her character. How anyone would put up with the nasty person she is, I don't know. She has no saving grace whatsoever - ugly'mouthy/winey voice/ and more teeth than Red Rum!!

Does it show I don't like her??

Do you mean she's a good actress? lol! I know what you're saying but I guess she's supposed to come across as this type of person. Not everyone can do it that good tho' ! perhaps she's a natural at playing a baddie?

Yeah she was given the boot, but was given a last mintue repreive (sp?) when a new producer took over and she was one of his favourite characters (Think the new producer is called Nick Frost, but could be totally wrong)
That's why she went to live with Toyah but then came back :o)
So for as long as this producer stays for, I would have thought so will Janice!
She annoys the crud out of me too lol

Yes agreed but not as bad as Ashley. I never watch Corrie live. I record it and then I can fast forward through all Ashleys scenes

I have a dream in which Janice Battersby, Cilla Battersby-Brown and Tracy Barlow all die in a freak chip-eating incident. I have this dream very often and it is a very pleasing way to end the day. Unfortunately, come Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday there they are again spoiling the best soap ever.

Wingnut is right (I got carried away last night - and forget to mention) she did get the big E, had a reprieve when the new guy took over. In soaps there are always characters you love to hate, but now and again, you just HATE them, the actor that is. Not that they have ever done anything to hurt you, you just don't LIKE them. Janice B is one of them. Tracy Barlow (tombstone teeth) and Blanche are two characters that, who in the real world would be outed (without a doubt), are in the love to hate category.
