Loved planning mine and Redmans, we had just 27 guests at a lovely hotel in Birmingham. I made all the invites etc and Dave wrote them with his lovely italic handwriting. My budget went on food, and flowers but I did make my own bouquet of will orchids and Crystal beads, things that everyone talked about. One thing I really enjoyed was raiding the dark recesses of ebay with a smaller wedding peop or often sell off small quantities of things like cake boxes they didn't use for tiny a.ounts. Another thing that went down well was a little tray in the ladies with spare tissues, panty liners, paraceta mol, cotton buds etc, commented on and something the hotel said they would provide in future. Remember it is your day, ditch any traditions you don't like or that are not you. We di tched speaches. I just thanked properly coming, and gave them a timetable , after we had eaten we did a bit of mingling, and the olds had nearly departure while the rest of us went on a real ale pub crawl. It was Reds day too after all
