Can anyone explain why Sir Winston Churchill adopted a French 'Adriane' model French infantry helmet whilst Lt. Col i/c a Scottish Rgt. The earlier type of Brodie helmet was the standard issue ( eventually) helmet of a British 'Tommy' in the trenches during the first World War
