Knife Crime

Why are so many people surprised at this sort of crime, or any other to be on the increase. There's been around 30 years of family neglect, parents just happy to doss on the dole, do drugs and booze all day and night, what a great education to pass on to their kids, no values. no morals. if you can't buy it, just take it, just keep having kid after kid for more family allowance, and let them run the streets. Don't care who I upset. ( that's the truth) as long as you have drugs and drink and neglected kids you will have high crime.

Then why did their parents so completely fail in teaching them any parenting skills? Any guesses?

My wife and I raised four decent moraly aware kids. They were all taught to respect other people. They are honest and all have responsibilities, job, home, etc. We gave them love, laughter, and discipline. The knew not to cross the line, but tested it frequently. They were instilled with good manners very early on. Are we lucky? Or just parents that put our kids first.

I blame Morrisons- all those cheap ready meals. If only the dole dossing mothers would go to proper butchers and make meals from scratch none of this would happen :/

maggiebee With respect, I may be a little out of date, but I'm sure you understand what I mean. But I think may be your a little out of touch if you think that its only a small minority of families creating drink and drug problems.
There isn't a housing estate anywhere in this country that not bogged down with crime of some nature mainly due to lazy parents who have reared lazy crime ridded kids, who are happy to spend their life on the dole like their parents did, drawing whatever cash they can get from the tax payer, what they can't get they have no problem in stealing by whatever means.
