New To Whatsapp

I’m new to WhatsApp and, not being terrible technically minded, would appreciate some advice please.

First question, can everyone on the WhatsApp contacts list see everything that’s written, or are messages between sender and addressee private?

Second question. A friend tells me she has WhatsApp and has encouraged me to get it. I have, but now find she is not among those listed on the WhatsApp contacts list. I can’t message her on WhatsApp and she can’t message me on WhatsApp. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on there?

It was confusing to say the least. It made no sense - but it does now. I think she thought that because she has WhatsApp on one phone it would work on any phone. Told you she's rubbish with technology. :o)

I'm delighted to read you got that one sorted naomi :) the youngsters are great with technology and spot the problem straight away. I hope she gets the whatsapp on this other phone, ye can chat for hours if she does :)

Oh, I won't be doing that ducksie. She lives in a permanent state of confusion. Always has. She's like a bull in a china shop. Never takes advice and creates so many problems for herself. Why she wants two phones is anyone's guess - but there you are. All sorted now anyway.
