Songs like Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah

Following my last question, 'Names of some sad, lovey dovey music' there were some really beautiful songs recommended, my favourite being Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley, does anyone know of the names of some more songs that are like this one, for example the same style, or same type of music, if you get me. I think it's because of the good tune in the background and the well sung, well written lyrics.

Jeff Buckley does a wonderful version of Hallelujah, but it's not his - it's Leonard Cohen. You might want to try his stuff, but be warned, Len's voice is something of an aquired taste!

You might want to give Sarah McLachlin a listen too. Again it's well written, quite emotional stuff, beautifully sung and not too syrupy. Basically all of her albums are easily available and some of the peer to peer sites like WINMX would give you a taster (might have spelt her surname wrong though!)

In my view, one of the most beautiful and poignant songs I have ever heard is (don't let the name put you off) Siouxsie and the Banshees - The Last Beat of My Heart. Soft and whistful - do try to hear it.

Eva Cassidy's version of Fields Of Gold or you my like Ryan Adams he does alot of beautiful love songs. Try some of these....... Wild Flowers........She Wants To Play Hearts....... Jesus (Dont Touch My Baby).
