metro at night ?

Is it safe to take the metro in paris at night ?
If not, are taxis the only option ?

Yeah, its safe but you just gotta keep your wits about you. The metro is well known for pick pocketing. There is always the option of horse & carriage, the best way to get around is by excursion buses. You can hop on & off.
