Dog See Smell On Astro Turf

I have recently had artificial grass laid. The chap who laid it had a dog and said he had no problem with dog wee smell. He had a Labrador. I have a shih shi Tzu and water everytime I see her wee but I can smell it slightly with the heat we have had. What can you use to Eliminate it.

we used to hose it down.....

Maggie, is there any part of the garden (not covered by Astroturf), where you could perhaps train your dog to go

My shih Tzu is a hitch and my daughter's dog I look after is also a hitch. They both wee in different places. My dog will see on the patio if the grass is too wet

Maggie, with patience it is still possible to train a dog of that age.When you see that she is about to wee move her to an appropriate spot and when she has done give her lots of praise and maybe a treat.She will eventually learn to go thereby herself.

I have 3 stinky boys and I use Kennel Kleen (Amazon)it comes in a variety of scents one being fresh cut grass although I have bubblegum at the moment. You can also get specific artificial grass cleaner too but a lot of people use this.

vinegar spray add some bicarb of soda, more vinegar spray then rinse.
