Dandy Nichols - Till Death Us Do Part

I am trying to find out about Dandy Nichols who appeared in Till Death Us Do Part. Various websites say she was born as Daisy Nichols on May 21st 1907 in London but the Births Marriages & Deaths Indexes do not list her under that name. She was divorced so was Nichols her married name ? There are rumours that she is somehow related to me. Any help would be appeciated.

Thanks for reminding me. i taped the film last night but forgot I'd done so. Dandy was always my favourite, with her bag of toffees, taking the p out of alf all the time. Una Stubbs one of the most gorgous women ever - still. Related to you - wow!

There is a Daisy Nichols registered in the September quarter of 1907, but for the Swansea district (Vol. 11a Page 1091). That's the only Daisy Nichols listed for either June or September quarters of that year. I wonder how accurate the info is that she was born in Hammersmith?

Yes I'd already found the references to Daisy Nichols and also to the birth of a Daisy Nichols in Swansea. Maybe she wasn't born in 1907 or maybe she wasn't born in Hammersmith. If one website mentioned those details they could easily have been copied to other websites. Therein lies the problem !! If I could find out who she married and when, that would help enormously.

A lady that lived at the back of my ex husdand's grandparents in Fulham was a relative of Dandy Nichols, Mrs Allen and Peggy Mount lived next door.
