hi.. can anybody tell me whether you carry on paying in instalments for a funeral plan? even if you have paid the agreed sum if you are still alive.

fren' has one that pays less (!) as you get older !
this was the one Martin Lewis said he had to ring and check if that were true ( it was )
they are all 'term insurances' which means that if you stop paying you get nowt
a very very few can be 'paid up' - they will pay out anyway. These are ones which pay under £100 and are fifty years old. ( well I did say few)
very very widely advertised on day time tel
complete rip off

It depends.....there are plans where you say what you want, they give you a price, you pay the whole amount and that is your funeral guaranteed. There is no cash sum, no installments you just pay fo4 your funeral well ahead of time. You’d need to make sure there was national coverage in case you move and what happens if the provider goes bust but it dies do what it says on the can which is prepay your funeral and guarantee the cost is covered for what you have stated.
The one I’ve got is with Golden Charter. I started it ages ago and paid it for a set period. At the end of that period I had paid £3000 which is held at the undertakers ready for when it is needed. Very straightforward. I realise funerals have gone up though, but at least it’s a help towards the cost.
samuraisans out lay is 20 eu per month and 7 eu perm per person and that is around what my fren' pays
and sam gets around £3000 in the future for each so long as they keep paying ....
this seems around standard - I wonder if all the companys go for £7 a month and just adjust the pay out on what the market will bear ...
used it once - 2015 and costs were at least double
I suppose arranging and paying for someone's funeral, you are never gonna tick the box that says
lots of fun - must do it again !
