Can't comment on Not Going Out really, Theland. I watched a couple of episodes and it was okay but I detest canned laughter and it becomes all I hear.....x

Lee Mac is brilliant on 'would I lie to you' but I can't stand stand Not Going Out.

I like the programme, and I'm not even really sure why :-). Canned laughter does seem very dated though.

I thought last nights episode was quite funny. How the school teacher kept a straight face was brilliant.

I did like it, but I'm afraid its past
it's sell by date now. Last nights episode
was awful, teacher excepted.

I remember being appalled when more than 25 years ago when watching Mash they decided to put canned laughter on the programme, it ruined it completely, I even phoned up to complain lol Thankfully it did not last . Programme makers don't seemed to have learned.

I don't mind it. You have to drone it out. Without the canned laughter these programms would be even worse.

I think the "sitcom" Friends - is the worst for it.
