Really struggling with not driving but I have either 2 weeks to go or MRI results, whichever is first. Strange weather day, one min really sunny, the next really cloudy.
Took grandkids to their Dad. Laundry, cleaning Turbo the tortoise’s cage. The dogs found him last week. He is an adult, no idea how he got to us, no microchip. Getting ready for a flying visit Thur to Sat to UK for reunion of nursing set of 1962. We all turn 75 this year,!!! The now extinct Middlesex Hospital Gower Street
I’ve done everything so I’m supervising two of the kids doing the garden for me and slowly roasting some ham (which I’ll glaze with brown sugar and cinnamon) to shove in sarnies later (would have done a proper meal but everyone prefers the ham in sandwiches so I decided to dispense with the healthy bits).
I recall my dad featuring in the local Hendon and Finchley Times one time .He was a divisional dog handler and the police sttion sent them to a distraught ladies address where she was bemoaning the loss of her equally aged pet tortoise. After a good sniff super sleuth Police Dog Joe went to the bottom of the garden, tail wagging, and found a very dozy tortoise snoozing under a compost heap. News was slow in Hendon that week but a good PR exercise. :-)
