The Championship was one today by our team, Norwich who were playing away at Aston Villa. It could have gone to Sheffield Utd but they needed a win and we needed to lose.
The question we're wondering, Is there more than one trophy or was it being driven at high speed up the motorway in the last 5minutes of the game?
Lol I have no idea re the trophy but Narwich have done brilliantly considering the start of the season, I have followed them for 25 years now and am incredibly proud of them.
Sheff United would not only have had to win, Maydup, but would also have had to overturn an 8 goal deficit in the GD column. Therefore i would assume that the trophy would have been at Villa ready to be presented to your captain.
Oh, and welcome back Norwich. There was a point in mid season where i thought our clubs may be swapping places. Thankfully, Sir Sean Dyche tweaked a couple of things and we improved. See you next season :-)
Well the respective teams weren’t playing that far apart but even so I’d have thought there would have been at least one replica if required.
Last season on the last day of the Irish League they did exactly what you wondered: the trophy was parked in a lay-by on the M1 ready to be driven to Ballymena or Lurgan, and there was quite an amusing speeded up video of them driving north as it turned out to present the trophy after the final whistle.
Next week I’d have thought they’ll have a helicopter?
A long way from Brighton to Liverpool.
Well done to Norwich and Sheff Utd also anyway.
I would guess there are replicas, as there are with the FA Cup and Premier League trophies. They are used for charity fund raising events around the country. Well done Norwich! Where are you?!!!!
Going up, going up.
Norwich going up. (Sing to Baby Give It Up by KC and The Sunshine Band)
